Meet CeeLo Green

CeeLo Green is a five-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, producer, and one of the most celebrated pop culture and fashion icons. He first emerged on the music scene as a member of the southern hip-hop group Goodie Mob, which released its debut album, Soul Food, in 1995. This album established Goodie Mob as pioneers of the Southern rap scene, followed by “Still Standing” in 1998 and “World Party” in 1999.

Through transformation and reinvention, CeeLo formed the duo Gnarls Barkley with producer/DJ Danger Mouse. They achieved worldwide success with their 2006 hit “Crazy”, which topped multiple singles charts globally. Returning to his solo career as “CeeLo Green,” he released the 2010 album “The Lady Killer”, featuring the hit single “Forget You.”

In 2014, CeeLo released the Grammy-nominated Christmas album “CeeLo’s Magic Moment”, which included the single “All I Need Is Love” featuring The Muppets. Around the same time, “Crazy” peaked at #2 on the US Billboard Hot 100. CeeLo was named one of Fast Company’s “Most Creative People in Business” in 2012 and served as a coach for four seasons on NBC’s hit show “The Voice”, alongside artists like Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton.

CeeLo also expanded his talents to voice acting, portraying “Murray the Mummy” in the 2012 animated film “Hotel Transylvania” and voicing Panda in “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder”. He has collaborated with artists such as EarthGang, the late Nipsey Hussle, and DJ Khaled. His single “Forget You” is certified Gold in the US and Denmark, platinum in Canada, New Zealand, and the UK, and multi-platinum in Australia.

CeeLo’s career has been marked by memorable performances, including appearances on “Saturday Night Live” and “Oprah”. He performed at the Super Bowl with Madonna in 2012 and presented at the Billboard Music Awards in 2013.
